EBONiBO is a locally focused trading company
based in Kagoshima.
We verify farms, certifications and MRL compliance —
in the buyer's interest.
A single prefecture combining the scale of an industrial supplier with the terroir of a craft origin.
In 2024, Kagoshima became Japan's #1 tea-producing prefecture by total processed-tea volume — surpassing Shizuoka for the first time with 27,000 metric tons. Flat volcanic plains enable mechanized harvesting, guaranteeing consistent large-volume supply.
Kagoshima's volcanic soil, enriched by Sakurajima ash, creates mineral-rich conditions unique to this region. The subtropical climate and ocean breezes yield tea with natural sweetness and low bitterness.
Kagoshima's soil is shirasu — volcanic ash deposited over millennia. This porous, mineral-concentrating structure creates naturally stress-tested root environments that yield robust, complex leaves.
Kagoshima tea powers everything from mass-market matcha and RTD beverages to premium specialty teas. If your product contains Japanese green tea, it very likely starts here.
A clear path from first inquiry to shipment — EBONiBO handles documentation, compliance and coordination at every step.
